What is Hardworking??

Hard working means someone who tends to work diligently and for long hours. They try their best to work harder in everything they do, so they can rise to the very top. For example, NBA player Chris Paul worked extremely hard to get to where he's right now. When Chris Paul was little he had a dream to play basketball, but many people doubted him because he was too small for the game. Even his own family members criticized him, and said that's impossible for someone his small. They said he was so small that whenever he goes up for a shot, he'll get rejected. Also they said Chris Paul would get injured so many times, that he can't even play at all. They basically crushed his dream, and said he can't make it anywhere in the NBA. The thing is Chris Paul didn't care what people said about his size, he just kept pushing himself to work harder. He will spend hours in training thinking of what he did wrong or right. From that he got to 6 feet, and got accepted to Wake Forest because of his tremendous basketball skills. He became the best player on his college team, and eventually got accepted to the NBA for New Orleans Hornets. He led the game in assists, steals, and became the best point guard in the NBA. Right now he's currently playing for the Los Angeles Clippers, but that didn't change anything. He had teammates that pushed him and encouraged him though the bad and good. From that he kept playing the way he played, and put in big numbers for almost every game. Right now his main goal is to win a NBA championship. In conclusion, for people who think they are too small or useless to do amazing things, you're wrong. Look at Chris Paul, he was mocked by people in his hometown for having a dream, but he didn't give up. Sure he was only 5 feet when he was in high-school, but he worked hard by spending hours in the practice room, making him better on and even off the court. Chris Paul succeeded and look at him now haters. He's one of the best point guards in the league with an amazing talent and personality.

What is Understanding???

In our world today, there's a word that people exemplifies everyday. This word is called Understanding. Understanding over time has several meaning. One of them is the ability to understand something, basically it's comprehension of one another. Another one is being aware of other people's feelings; tolerant and forgiving. For example, in the show Teen Wolf Scott got bit by a werewolf, and began to see a future filled with hope, but also danger. He got the girl of his life, and also began to have great athletic skills leading him to become the co-captain of lacrosse. But the only problem is Scott's mom doesn't know he's a werewolf. She thinks he's a normal high-school student. But in one episode in season 2, Scott's mom gets held hostage in the sheriff station by Matt the antagonist, and things take the opposite turn. Not only that Matt got Scott, his best friend Stiles, an Alpha name Derek, and Stiles' dad in the station as well. But later on when Derek began to regain his health, he started to transform into a alpha, and that was the first time Scott's mom saw a supernatural creature. But when Scott's mom almost got attacked, Scott took control and protected his mom in werewolf form. Scott turned to face his mom, and his mom discovered her son was a werewolf. Of course her reaction was really scared, and ashamed at first. Scott felt really upset, but got over it. For days Scott's mom wouldn't talk to him, because she was really scared of him. But that changed when bad things started to happen. Scott's mom knew something terrible was about to happen, and told Scott to do whatever it takes to prevent the evil to happen. Scott eventually stops the evil, and his mom began to accept him as a werewolf. She may sees him as a werewolf but he's also a human and her son. She now have an understanding of him, and tries her best to help him with the supernatural world.

Is It Necessary To Limit Or Put Restrictions On Freedom Of Thought and Expression????

Is it necessary to limit or put restrictions on freedom of thought and expression?? Well the answer really depends on the situation. In some cases, yes. If people in this world can say whatever they want, then things can go out of control. People would be saying mean things to each other for no apparent reason, and making each other feel bad. The worse part is that they are free to say whatever they want to say. So in that case they won't get in trouble. Those people can harass people everyday, and still get away with it. It's like bullying but to the extreme because they can never be punished. In other situations it's okay to have freedom of thought and expression. Because in this society we're living in today we can basically say whatever we want. Just not stupid things like " I want to place a bomb and kill thousands of people." Or "I want to be serial killer when I grow up." Those things will probably give you a bad image or get you in trouble. But moving on to my point People should say what they want to say but say it in an appropriate manner. Like if there's a tornado in the school then someone has to speak over the speaker and tell us we have a tornado that can destroy us or even kill use if we are not careful. That's something you should not keep to yourself. Or another situation if someone looks really beautiful then of coarse there shouldn't be any restriction, you should just say what you're feeling. Then that person would probably be really happy by your remark. In conclusion it all really depends on the situation. If there's really nice or really urgent to say then just say it. No one is holding you back. But if say something that can hurt someone or bring them down then things can get ugly. Just make the right decision, and I know you can do that.

Blog #7

Does success and happiness depend on the choices people make rather than on the factors beyond their control? I think this's true. Success and happiness does depend on the choices we make in our life. People who work their but off will one day pay off. You'll see. Their dream will be accomplished and they would basically get everything they could've ever wanted. You can be determined to study for a test or you can choose to fail. It's your choice. Just don't complain to your mommy when you don't pass Mr. Lininger's class, and have to take summer school. That'll be bad times man. It's your job to work hard and get a good education. Just like our Summit pledge saids "Mediocracy is not an option only excellence will do."Excellence is the key to everything, even though I don't fufill all the time. And let me tell you something it hurts like hell. The hell part is when it never leaves you. It's like a tattoo. It's permanent. Grades are permanent, and I wish sometimes I can go back in time and bring those grades up. But the thing is I can't do that. But what I do know is that I can't give up. In order to fufill my dreams, and make myself happy I'll have to study hard. If I do study hard then I know I can become the one I always dreamed of. My dream is to become a nurse. I had always dreamed of becoming a nurse ever since I was little. But I always thought something will get in the way, and make me fail. But the thing is you're the only one that can make you fail. Sure there'll be obstacles and temptations but it's you who's making the decisions. If you choose to waste your whole life away then that's your fault. You're the one who did it. No one forced you or tempted you. So don't be like those people. I have seen so many people who's so gifted but they just throw everything away. Now they're working their butt off at Mcdonalds earning only like $8 per hour. Life is an obstacle coarse that's laid out for you. There's many paths and directions to choose from. But it's up to you if you want to take a chance.

Ponderings of the Teenage Brain

I have a lot of thoughts that goes through my mind. First of all the Superbowl happened like 2 weeks ago, and I was sure that the Seahawks was going to win. But the Patriots won, sadly. The team that the deflate gate, but still won the Superbowl. That's just bullcrap. It was the stupid coach fault. What's his name again?? Oh yeah his name is Pete Carroll. I mean you were 1 yd line from the touchdown line, and you decided to throw it. Seriously why risk it?? You have Marshawn Lynch who is one of the best runningbacks in the league and you decided to have Russell Wilson throw the ball in the last couple of seconds. Thank you Pete Carroll, just thankyou. Because of you I lost 20$ to someone. That's not fair. I can use the 20$ for something useful, like buying a SAT textbook. Well now the Patriots have another Superbowl ring added to their record, which's just mess up. They don't deserve to win anything. They deserve to lose. Seriously Tom Brady should just retire. Isn't he like very old?? Hmm... let me google it. He's 37 years old. Dude Tom just retire. You're fricking old. Just stop I don't want to see you anymore. You made me lose 20$. Now I'm broke. Another thing that's now on my mind is celebrities. Why are celebrities paid so much money even if they suck. Most of them today can't even sing, dance or even do anything. They just have a pretty face that appeals to their audience. For example Selena Gomez is one of those people. Have you even seen her live?? She's bloody horrible. Who wants to pay all that money to see her live?? She sounds like a dying horse. She has no talent in her living soul, and she manages to make millions of money. I just don't get it. Sure she's pretty but people should look at the talent instead of the looks. Selena Gomez basically got famous because of Disney. I'm not amuse. You're suppose to work hard to get you where you want to be instead of having a famous t.v show to get you famous. I rather see a artist that has a slutty personality but have amazing talent. I don't know. That's just my opinion.

Is Knowledge Of The Past No Longer Useful For Us Today???

Knowledge of the past is definetly useful in our society today. Like the subjects that we learn in school is all from the past. People created the formulas, vocabulary words in order to teach us something important these days. If it's not useful then we don't need to waste 9 hours at school learning boring things that fry our brains. We go to school to be educated, and become more independent responsible young people. The knowledge of the past is everywhere in school. This information can help us get a good grade and go to a college to accomplish our dreams. We can get a degree, and get the job that we always dreamed of when we were little. Not only that but don't you think it would be pretty cool to learn about people in the past?? I think it would be pretty damn cool, how their lifestyle differ from ours. But to be honest their lifestyle was pretty messed up. I find it really interesting  whenever I learn about those kind of stuff. The lessons that we learn in AP World History is hard but also keeps me interested and wanting more. It may seem like it's useless but in the long-run it comes in handy. We can use the knowledge that we learned and apply them in the future. This can help us do well, and go to a college that can give us the major that we always wanted.

Does Circumstances determine whether or not we should tell the truth?

Honestly in my opinion the answer to the question is yes. Circumstances determine whether or not we should tell the truth. For example in the show "Pretty Little Liars" Aira was walking home from school when she saw her dad cheating on her mom. Her dad was a college professor and was making out with his student in the back of his car. Aria of coarse was torn into was pieces because she didn't know who to go to. Either she should tell her mom the whole incident or keep it a secret. Aria decided to keep it a secret, but it was later revealed. After a whole year passed Aria's best friend Alison died and that's where all the bad luck happened. She started to get mysterious text messages named "A" that can spill her dirty little secrets. "A" is always one step ahead of her, and happens to know everything she is doing. A lot of times she tries to tell her mom but the words never slips out. But one day "A" told her mom everything on a long letter that was sent to their house. The letter basically explains the whole affair, and how Aria knew about it the whole time but never said a word. Aria's mom was really upset, and upset but she got over it. She met a sweet guy name Zach and they're now hapily engage. In this situation I would tell my mom if my dad was cheating on her because I want to keep her safe, and happy. Not telling her would just make everything worse. In conclusion circumstances determine whether or not we should tell the truth. It just depends on what the situation is and how important it's.
