Does success and happiness depend on the choices people make rather than on the factors beyond their control? I think this's true. Success and happiness does depend on the choices we make in our life. People who work their but off will one day pay off. You'll see. Their dream will be accomplished and they would basically get everything they could've ever wanted. You can be determined to study for a test or you can choose to fail. It's your choice. Just don't complain to your mommy when you don't pass Mr. Lininger's class, and have to take summer school. That'll be bad times man. It's your job to work hard and get a good education. Just like our Summit pledge saids "Mediocracy is not an option only excellence will do."Excellence is the key to everything, even though I don't fufill all the time. And let me tell you something it hurts like hell. The hell part is when it never leaves you. It's like a tattoo. It's permanent. Grades are permanent, and I wish sometimes I can go back in time and bring those grades up. But the thing is I can't do that. But what I do know is that I can't give up. In order to fufill my dreams, and make myself happy I'll have to study hard. If I do study hard then I know I can become the one I always dreamed of. My dream is to become a nurse. I had always dreamed of becoming a nurse ever since I was little. But I always thought something will get in the way, and make me fail. But the thing is you're the only one that can make you fail. Sure there'll be obstacles and temptations but it's you who's making the decisions. If you choose to waste your whole life away then that's your fault. You're the one who did it. No one forced you or tempted you. So don't be like those people. I have seen so many people who's so gifted but they just throw everything away. Now they're working their butt off at Mcdonalds earning only like $8 per hour. Life is an obstacle coarse that's laid out for you. There's many paths and directions to choose from. But it's up to you if you want to take a chance.

Ponderings of the Teenage Brain
I have a lot of thoughts that goes through my mind. First of all the Superbowl happened like 2 weeks ago, and I was sure that the Seahawks was going to win. But the Patriots won, sadly. The team that the deflate gate, but still won the Superbowl. That's just bullcrap. It was the stupid coach fault. What's his name again?? Oh yeah his name is Pete Carroll. I mean you were 1 yd line from the touchdown line, and you decided to throw it. Seriously why risk it?? You have Marshawn Lynch who is one of the best runningbacks in the league and you decided to have Russell Wilson throw the ball in the last couple of seconds. Thank you Pete Carroll, just thankyou. Because of you I lost 20$ to someone. That's not fair. I can use the 20$ for something useful, like buying a SAT textbook. Well now the Patriots have another Superbowl ring added to their record, which's just mess up. They don't deserve to win anything. They deserve to lose. Seriously Tom Brady should just retire. Isn't he like very old?? Hmm... let me google it. He's 37 years old. Dude Tom just retire. You're fricking old. Just stop I don't want to see you anymore. You made me lose 20$. Now I'm broke. Another thing that's now on my mind is celebrities. Why are celebrities paid so much money even if they suck. Most of them today can't even sing, dance or even do anything. They just have a pretty face that appeals to their audience. For example Selena Gomez is one of those people. Have you even seen her live?? She's bloody horrible. Who wants to pay all that money to see her live?? She sounds like a dying horse. She has no talent in her living soul, and she manages to make millions of money. I just don't get it. Sure she's pretty but people should look at the talent instead of the looks. Selena Gomez basically got famous because of Disney. I'm not amuse. You're suppose to work hard to get you where you want to be instead of having a famous t.v show to get you famous. I rather see a artist that has a slutty personality but have amazing talent. I don't know. That's just my opinion.

Is Knowledge Of The Past No Longer Useful For Us Today???
Knowledge of the past is definetly useful in our society today. Like the subjects that we learn in school is all from the past. People created the formulas, vocabulary words in order to teach us something important these days. If it's not useful then we don't need to waste 9 hours at school learning boring things that fry our brains. We go to school to be educated, and become more independent responsible young people. The knowledge of the past is everywhere in school. This information can help us get a good grade and go to a college to accomplish our dreams. We can get a degree, and get the job that we always dreamed of when we were little. Not only that but don't you think it would be pretty cool to learn about people in the past?? I think it would be pretty damn cool, how their lifestyle differ from ours. But to be honest their lifestyle was pretty messed up. I find it really interesting whenever I learn about those kind of stuff. The lessons that we learn in AP World History is hard but also keeps me interested and wanting more. It may seem like it's useless but in the long-run it comes in handy. We can use the knowledge that we learned and apply them in the future. This can help us do well, and go to a college that can give us the major that we always wanted.

Does Circumstances determine whether or not we should tell the truth?
Honestly in my opinion the answer to the question is yes. Circumstances determine whether or not we should tell the truth. For example in the show "Pretty Little Liars" Aira was walking home from school when she saw her dad cheating on her mom. Her dad was a college professor and was making out with his student in the back of his car. Aria of coarse was torn into was pieces because she didn't know who to go to. Either she should tell her mom the whole incident or keep it a secret. Aria decided to keep it a secret, but it was later revealed. After a whole year passed Aria's best friend Alison died and that's where all the bad luck happened. She started to get mysterious text messages named "A" that can spill her dirty little secrets. "A" is always one step ahead of her, and happens to know everything she is doing. A lot of times she tries to tell her mom but the words never slips out. But one day "A" told her mom everything on a long letter that was sent to their house. The letter basically explains the whole affair, and how Aria knew about it the whole time but never said a word. Aria's mom was really upset, and upset but she got over it. She met a sweet guy name Zach and they're now hapily engage. In this situation I would tell my mom if my dad was cheating on her because I want to keep her safe, and happy. Not telling her would just make everything worse. In conclusion circumstances determine whether or not we should tell the truth. It just depends on what the situation is and how important it's.

Books about characters and events are REAL!!!
Books and stories about characters and events that's not real can teach us something useful. Most people, relate to a book better than real life. Although the story in a book might not be real, it can be reflective of real life and teach you a big lesson. It can have a big impact on people. For example, in the book "The Hunger Games", no one tells Katniss to volunteer for her sister. She does this all by herself because she loves her sister to death, and never wants to loose her. Even if it means herself getting killed. None of this would happen if her sister Prim just participates for the games. Katniss wouldn't be almost killed, and she would never pretend to have a fake romance with Peeta. Also she would never threaten to commit suicide, and the capitol would never get angry. There would be no rebellion. But Katniss does all of this for love. She and Prim have a friendship that no one has. They both love and care for each other. And Katniss always has Prim's back. People can learn from "The Hunger Games" on how to be a loving sister/brother like Katniss. A brother/sister that will do anything even getting themselves killed in order to protect their loved ones. Also in the book "A Walk To Remember" two opposites characters fall in love with each other. The guy Landon is a rebellious young man who could be expelled for endagering his friend. He ends with joining the play in order to prevent expulsion. There he meets a girl named Jamie, who is the opposite of him and gets made fun of for wearing the same sweater everyday. Their relationship deepens, as Landon sees the caring, strong character in Jamie, and Jamie sees a care-free side in Landon. But Jamie has cancer and she dies. From that story people can see that human beings can change for the better. And that's exactly what Landon does. Meeting Jamie make him less of a jerk, rebel, and makes him more caring, and thoughtful. He reconnects with his dad, and his dreams come true at the end because of Jamie. Jamie makes him a changed man. In conclusion, books can teach us something useful even if it's not real. You see Katniss rather risks her life in order to keep Prim safe. You also see Landon changes from a mischeivous, popular guy to a guy with a caring heart. And it all happens because of Jamie. These characters are not real, but they can be a reflection of real life, so can show us what kind of human beings we can become.

A Book That Interested Me!!!
A couple of years ago, I read a book that was quite interesting. Not only it was interesting, but it was really sad. The book was about four kids, two sons and daughters. They were a poor family with no father, but a mother. They had to basically eat Ramen Noodles everyday in their life. One day the mom left them without saying a word, not even goodbye. She gave them very few money, and expected them to do everything on their own. They eventually moved on with their life, doing everything on their own. It wasn't long until they were broke. They had no money to buy anything. The only thing they could eat was the expired Ramen Noodles. Their life was miserable. They ended up stealing food from stores, in order for them to survive. They missed their mom, even with all the horrible things she had done to them. The kids missed their mom so much that they cried themselves to sleep everyday. They had no clue what to do in life. One day the oldest boy went to the store to steal some food, while the others stayed at home and played with each other. The oldest girl told her younger siblings that she needed to get something. She left, but after a while she never returned. They searched through the house, and eventually found her in shock. The oldest girl commited suicide. She hanged herself with a rope, but attached to her was a note. The note said "I can't do this anymore, move on without me." They called the oldest brother, and he was in shock too. They made a funeral in their house. The funeral was filled with sadness. There was tears everywhere on their faces. Eventually the kids decided to move on, just like what the sister said in the note. It was hard, but they managed to do it. In conclusion, this book is really sad. I cried while reading it. It reminded me how lucky I'm. I have two parents who loves me, and will never leave my side. They give me so much support, and most of the time I don't even appreciate it. What I'm saying is that I'm greatful to have them in my life, and I love them unconditionally.

The News!!!
A year ago I saw the news, and there was a story that was really interesting. But at the same time it scared the crap out of me. 15 years, or around that time a guy kidnapped 3 young girls and brought them to his house. He lured the girls in, by telling them he would give them anything they could possibly imagine. The girls fell for his trap and went into his car. Next thing they know they were chained up, beaten up, and tortured in his basement. There was no escape. What surprised me was how come no one found out or got suspicious of that guy. As it turned out he was really good at hiding the 3 girls, and making himself look innocent. Family member would come, and he would crank the music so loud that no one ever noticed. The guy gave the girls raw food, and got them pregnant. But he killed the baby inside of the girl's belly. All of this repeated for 15 or more years. But let me tell you something, there's a happy ending. One day when the guy left the house to do something, one of the girls found an opening from the basement. She left the house and called the neighbors for help. The neighbors rescued the other girls, and arrested the guy. The girls went to a therapist, and then met up with their parents eventually. But what shocked me the most, was that how could the girls fell for the guy's trap so easily? The guy eventually committed suicide in jail. In conclusion I learned an important lesson. NEVER TRUST ANY STRANGER NO MATTER HOW NICE THEY LOOK OR SOUND.
